Hopefully we’re not actively breaking bones like we  all did when we were kids, most of us are getting to the age where things don’t quite heal like they used to.  Yeah, I said it!

Designer Deniz Karasahin created something a little different by replacing plaster casts with 3D printed medical casts called Osteoid.  The design has multiple holes for ventilation which prevents the person from getting itchy and smelly like traditional casts. The space-age cast also produces a low intensity pulsating ultrasound system that speeds up the healing process by as much as 40%. You only have to wear it 20 minutes a day. This is gonna be a game changer for sure.
