What is Women Interactive?

Women Interactive is a two day interactive technology festival for women who produce and share digital content with a special emphasis on women of color. In keeping with the fast paced nature of technology, WICTF allows college students, collegiate faculty, technology, media, creative professionals and enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with innovative technology by following the three pillars on which the festival is based: Interaction, Education and Inspiration.

Who are the founders of Women Interactive?

Created by Sabrina Harvey and Ashia R. Sims, Women Interactive is co-sponsored by Dr. Ayoka Chenzira and Spelman College’s Digital Moving Image Salon.

Where does the Women Interactive Creative Technology Festival take place?

Women Interactive 2014 is taking place at Spelman College in the Cosby Building.

Is there parking?

Yes. There is free (limited space) parking directly outside of the Cosby Building. However, there is also a parking deck for Women Interactive attendees. Parking is $3.00 and is payable in cash, debit card or credit card.

 

Who should attend Women Interactive?

If you are someone who uses technology as a creative tool, you should attend. If you are someone who uses technology as a practical tool you should attend. If you work in the technology space in any capacity, you should attend. But let us to spell it out:

Artists, Producers, Game Developers, Graphic Designers, App Creators, Programmers, Bloggers, Vloggers, Digital Photographers, Musicians, Animators, Filmmakers, Painters, Sculptors,Graphic Novelists, Fashion Designers, Stylists, Writers, Small Business Owners, Start-ups, Educators in the Arts, Educators in Technology, Technology Entrepreneurs

Whether you do these things all day, every week, part-time or occasionally, you are a content creator and should be at Women Interactive!

Women Interactive is open to all races, ethnicities and genders.

Can people under the age of 18 attend the event?

Yes. However, attendees under the age of 18 must be under adult supervision at all times. Women Interactive programming and content is geared toward adult audiences. Women Interactive is not liable and cannot be held responsible for attendees under the age of 18.

How much are Women Interactive tickets?

Ticket prices vary depending on the ticket season. To see our current ticket pricing please click here.

Is lunch included with the purchase of my ticket?

Lunch is not included. In order to keep ticket prices affordable, we use funds to secure great programming and unfortunately this means some things are not covered.

However, attendees are welcome to eat at Spelman’s Food Court or visit local eateries for lunch. You can also brown bag it!

 

Can I purchase tickets the day of the event?
Yes. You can purchase tickets at the Cosby Building box office which is located outside of the Cosby Building. Payments can be via cash, debit card or credit card.

What is the refund policy for Women Interactive?
We currently do give refunds on ticket purchases.

 

Who should I contact about a great panel idea?
Yay! We can’t wait to hear your idea. Please email us at info@womeninteractive.net with the subject: “Panel Idea”. We get tons of emails so it might take us awhile to get back to you but we will get back to you.
